Semi Permanent Coupler

The Sanrok semi-permanent coupler is designed to ensure a permanent connection of railcars, which in traffic, form a unit and therefore need not be separated unless in an emergency or in the workshop. The drawbars are connected by means of a muff coupling set that can be detached easily, thus allowing quick separation of the cars for repair. These couplers are used in EMU, MEMU and suburban rail coaches as well.

Each coupler is subjected to rigorous in-house testing, resulting in an extremely robust safety product that averts overriding of coaches.

• Sanrok Semi-permanent coupler is based on the Generic semi- permanent couplers that are currently used on the EMU stock of the Indian Railways
• The semi- permanent coupler offers higher strength and energy absorption capacity
• The draw and the buff gear consists of Elastomeric pads that have proven benefits over the rubber based pads and are also widely used in many international applications
• The coupler can be fitted to the existing under-frame without any modification
